Former People magazine<\/i> writer and tabloid editor turned internationally published author, columnist, editor and consultant, Chris Benguhe has worked at every level of the editorial process, including editor-in-chief and publisher. He has also edited dozens of titles for up-andcoming authors, specializing in both the inspirational self-help and motivational business genres.<\/p>\n
In the past few years, he became intensely interested in the intersection of social betterment and business, specifically as it relates to the treatment of people, whether employees, customers or those in the communities in which businesses reside. This led to him pursuing the creation of a network of trailblazing CEOs and business leaders who realize that people are the point of profits, not the other way around, and helping them to share their thoughts and strategies.<\/p>\n

Her career in journalism sprang out of her earlier career as a teacher when she helped develop a language arts enrichment program that mixed literature, drama and art. After leaving her fulfilling career as an educator when she moved from California to Arizona, she was inspired to try to turn her interest in writing into a new career.<\/p>\n In 1998, she became founding editor of regional lifestyle magazine Arizona Corridors. In 2002, she incorporated her own business, Grammar & Glitz, and has worked with varied businesses and contributed to publications on widely diverse subject matter. In 2010, she became editorial director of Phoenix-based InMedia Company and helped launch Greater Phoenix business resource In Business Magazine.<\/p>\n Through it all, she never lost her love for educating and assisting the young, from 18 years as a Girl Scout leader and trainer to many years on the board of directors of Rosie\u2019s House: A Music Academy for Children, a nonprofit that provides instruments and free, professional music instruction to the underserved youth of Phoenix.<\/p>\n Elaine Pofeldt Elaine Pofeldt is an independent business journalist who has contributed to FORTUNE, Money, CNBC, Inc., Forbes, Crain\u2019s New York Business, the Economist Intelligence Unit and many other publications. She is the author of Tiny Business, Big Money (W.W. Norton & Co.), a look at how seven-figure businesses with small teams are reinventing the small business landscape, and The Million-Dollar, One-Person Business (Random House), a guide to how solopreneurs are breaking $1 million in revenue in businesses with no employees except the owners. She is also a ghostwriter\/collaborative editor and speaker.<\/p>\n As a senior editor at FORTUNE Small Business, where she worked for eight years, Pofeldt was twice nominated for the National Magazine Award for her features and ran the magazine\u2019s annual business plan competition. Pofeldt graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in English. She lives in New Jersey with her four children and in her free time enjoys yoga, kickboxing and long walks.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dave Alexander Dave Alexander is founder and managing member of Caljet, which he began in 1982 with $1,000 borrowed from his credit card and turned into the largest independent motor fuels terminal in the Southwestern United States. In addition to his determination for growing his business, Dave has followed his passions around the world, completing almost 300 triathlons in 37 countries and educating the public \u2014 especially youth \u2014 about the real relationship between being \u201cfit\u201d and \u201cfat.\u201d<\/p>\n Dave is an Eagle Scout, WP Society member, a Baden-Powell Fellow, and a member of Regal Circle. He received the Silver Buffalo Award for distinguished service to youth in 2019.
