The Social Capital Revolution Comes to Phoenix
By Elaine Pofeldt and RaeAnne Marsh | September 17, 2026 11:20 am

Speakers who include Carson Group Chairman Omani Carson, Televerde CEO and OneAmerica Financial Partners CEO Scott Davison will keynote the Summit for People Centric Leadership, a one-day gathering of 200–300 CEOs, CHROs, founders and senior leaders from values-driven organizations across Arizona and the U.S. The event takes place Oct. 22, 2026, at Avant 121 in Phoenix.
Hosted by the Dave Alexander Center for Social Capital and the Social Capital Insider, the Summit explores how people-centric business can become a healing force in an increasingly disconnected world — and how human dignity, employee ownership and structural reform can be a genuine source of competitive advantage, not a tradeoff against it. Sessions tackle the loneliness epidemic, the call for purpose-driven enterprises, employee ownership and empowerment, and how business can lead on social policy.
“We are united by one conviction: Taking care of people is taking care of business,” says Chris Benguhe, founder and president of the Dave Alexander Center for Social Capital. “As American business grapples with disconnection, burnout and eroding trust, this Summit brings together
leaders who’ve proven that prioritizing people isn’t at odds with business success — it’s the foundation of it. This is the inaugural year of what we intend to be an ongoing, marquee gathering reimagining capitalism with human dignity at its center.”
The Dave Alexander Center for Social Capital is a people-centric business media and thought leadership organization built around the conviction that taking care of people IS taking care of business. The Center publishes the Social Capital Insider and convenes leaders committed to building healthier, more connected organizations.
The event features a lineup of business leaders on the front lines of the Social Capital revolution. Presentations are:
- Vince Barsolo, CEO, Televerde — “People First: Why Purpose Is a Competitive Advantage”

“Many leaders who embrace the Social Capital principles of putting people first — their employees, their customer and their community — feel isolated in their industries,” says Benguhe. “This event will bring them together so they can connect, exchange ideas and bring back cutting-edge leadership principles to their organizations.”
